Our History

David Kirkwood founded Kirkwood Electric, an electrical contracting company in Los Angeles, CA. 

Arch Kirkwood began working full-time for his father at Kirkwood Electric. Previously, Arch and his brothers worked at the company part-time during school holidays.

Arch Kirkwood, at the age of 26, bought Kirkwood Electric from his father. Terms of deal; ‘Book value, no money down, and pay off when capital allows.'

David’s advice to his son was, "Do business with Builders, not Brokers." 

Arch Kirkwood established the second company to bear his family's name, A.J. Kirkwood & Associates, Inc.

Celebrating 30 years of electrical construction excellence—built on service, relationships, and family. As we honor the Kirkwood legacy, we look ahead to continuing it for generations to come.
